The marriage of Ned Finn to Honora Sharkey was initially based on a conversation
I had with Martin Lafferty in
Cloonfad in 1996 during a trip to Ireland. I now have
the GRO birth record for Dominick Finn which lists his parents as Edward Finn
and
Honora Sharkett.
The Tibohine parish marriage records has a marriage listing for Edward Finn and
Honora Sharkey for the above date.
Honora is enumerated in the 1901 census living in the townland of Grallagh. Her
granddaughter, Ellen Mara (age 2) is enumerated with
her. &nbap;Ellen Mara is
the daughter of Jane (Finn) Mara. Jane is enumerated in the same 1901 census
living with her father-in-law,
Henry Mara, aslo in the townland of Grallagh.
